What is Impact?

Inspiring generations of global citizens and helping them realize their power to build a better future” – FIRST

The FIRST Impact Award (formerly Chairman’s Award) is the most prestigious award at FIRST, it honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST. It was created to keep the central focus of FIRST Robotics Competition on the ultimate goal of transforming the culture in ways that will inspire greater levels of respect and honor for science and technology, as well as encouraging more of today’s youth to become science and technology leaders.

FLL Qualifiers

Since 2014, the RoHAWKtics team have hosted the Marble City FLL Qualifier at our high school. Our student volunteers help run this event where up to 32 teams compete for top place.

Inspiring future FTC/FRC champions.

Fantasy of Trees

For nearly a decade, the RoHAWKtics team have participated in an annual East Tennessee Children’s Hospital fundraising event known as Fantasy of Trees. Nearly 60,000 people visit the forest of 350 beautifully designed trees each year.

In 2022 the event raised more than $1.3 Million, and allowed the hospital to purchase a custom-made neonatal/pediatric transport vehicle that acts as a mobile intensive care unit.

Independence Day Parade

Town of Farragut puts on an annual Independence Day Parade for its residents. The FRC#3824 team routinely joins in the festivities by driving our robot through the streets, handing out flyers, interacting with the public and inspiring future FIRST participants!

Team Social

Since 2016 the RoHAWKtics host a Smoky Mountain Regional team social, where students and mentors come from different teams to eat, relax, play games, and build friendships that last beyond high school.

STEM Camp

From 2012 through 2018, the Two Blues STEM Camp existed as a collaboration between Farragut High School (home of FRC #3140 “Flagship Robotics”) and Hardin Valley Academy.

This week-long summer camp for grades 2-7 would provide a fun and hands-on camp focusing on science, technology, engineering, mathematics and health sciences.
